Ministry…Leadership

   Ministry is built around leadership.   Jesus came to do ministry on behalf of the Father.  Father God was at work in and through Him.  As Jesus was doing ministry, He called and trained others to do it with Him, before releasing them to do ministry apart from Him.  Even as they went to do ministry, He promised that He would be with them.

   In church life He calls and trains ministers much as He did in the New Testament.  As He trains He sends.  As folks join together in ministry, kingdom work is accomplished, and the folks doing the ministry develop a deepening koinonia as they share life together.

   At the beginning of the new church year, we still have a number of ministry positions that need to be filled, including weekly commitments in Sunday school, and on-going opportunities on various committees.  Please pray and consider your leadership in one or more of these ministry areas.  What are you being sent out to do in the kingdom?
