Hebrews 5:11-14
Hebrews 5:11-14 says,
"We have a great deal to say about this, and it is difficult to explain, since you have become too lazy to understand. Although by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the basic principles of God’s revelation again. You need milk, not solid food. Now everyone who lives on milk is inexperienced with the message about righteousness, because he is an infant. But solid food is for the mature—for those whose senses have been trained to distinguish between good and evil.”
According to Hebrews 5:11, if we are not maturing in our faith, it is not a matter of intellect, but of laziness. The author of Hebrews indicates that those he is writing to have “become too lazy to understand.”
This should be a convicting sentiment for all who are lacking maturity in Christ. If we are spiritually immature, there truly is no excuse.
Ecclesiastes 10:18 says, "Because of laziness the roof caves in, and because of negligent hands the house leaks.”
If we are the temple of God’s Holy Spirit, but we are lazy, have we become a house that leaks and has the roof cave in?
Pursue Jesus and pursue knowledge of God’s Word with all of your might today and everyday.
