Ephesians 2

Ephesians 2 is a beautiful passage that reveals our true state before the Lord. 

Ephesians 2:1-3 says, 

"And you were dead in your trespasses and sins in which you previously walked according to the ways of this world, according to the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit now working in the disobedient. We too all previously lived among them in our fleshly desires, carrying out the inclinations of our flesh and thoughts, and we were by nature children under wrath as the others were also.”

It is not as if we are somewhat bad. It is not as if we are even neutral. 

We were disobedient, we followed after the world and the ways of it. 

We followed Satan and we followed our sinful desire. 

Did Paul get carried away when talking about our condition? Certainly not!

According to God’s Word, we were completely dead. We needed a miracle that only God could do.

We needed and actively need God’s grace.

Ephesians 2:4a says, “But God,”
