Connection

Connection with others is always a good thing, and especially in times that are disruptive and unsettling.   We are in such times.  When things tend to be falling apart around us we need the security that committed relationship brings.   Every day brings more disconcerting news.  Shortages are increasing in various areas of life — from microchips for automobiles, to ice cream for the Dairy Queen.

And there is no end to the disruption in sight.

In the midst of life “falling apart” we need the security of “pulling together” with other believers.  The church is designed by Father God to be a group of Jesus followers connected and held together by His Spirit, functioning as His body.  As we live rightly related to Him we are so connected with other believers that we share His life together.  Nothing that happens around us can damage or destroy our oneness in Him.  We enjoy a peace in the midst of our difficulties, a peace that the world cannot understand or experience.  Let us maintain this connection with other believers, and pursue it even more as the troubles increase around us.
