Leaving

This past Sunday included a very special opportunity for us to regather as church in the fellowship hall and share a meal together.  It has been about two years since we have done so.  What a joy to watch people gathering around the table and just enjoy being together.  We are grateful to our body life team and others who put forth great effort for the event, and for many who prepared food for the meal itself. As we return to “normal” may there be many such gatherings to come.

The day was also a sweet celebration of your pastor and our times together in this place.  You have always been a generous and giving group of folks and this “pastor appreciation” Sunday was no different.  My family and I appreciate the kind words, the heartfelt cards, and the generous monetary gifts along the way.   Your expressions of appreciation are overwhelming at times.

This time is bittersweet as we anticipate our soon departure (November 14th will be our last Sunday). I am purposing to live in the “now” and not be focused on the “next.”  Our Father is not finished, and His best is yet to be.  We will press on, making every day count for the Kingdom.
