Momentum

Hey Teammate!

Momentum is defined as “the impetus and driving force gained by the development of a process or course of events.” Bridge City Church is walking in a level of momentum we have never before experienced. We had a great summer. Ten college students spent six weeks with us as a part of the Gen Send Summer program. We had five churches (including FBC Glennville) spend time with us serving the city. God moved through the efforts of His people and has drawn new life to our church.

The expression of this momentum is visible in three ways:

First, our weekly attendance numbers have increased. The addition of three or four families has dramatically changed the look of our Sunday morning worship service. I’m really excited about the amount of kids present. Several weeks ago, we had 22 kids in Kids Church! On October 6th, we are dedicating three babies!

Second, we have been able to increase the number of small group times we offer throughout the week. We currently have a midweek gathering called “Bridge Group” every other Wednesday. Our Women’s group meets every other Thursday, and we have a Men’s group meeting at the local YMCA on Thursdays. This past Sunday, we started a Student Gathering that will meet once a month. These gatherings are important because you can’t invite someone to an event that is not happening.

Third, God continues to bring people across our path with whom we can be the hands and feet of Jesus. We have some folks walking through really hard things. Please join us in praying for the restoration of marriages.

What I am describing probably seems like a small blip on the radar to most folks, but we are excited. Praise the Lord for blips! Thank you for praying and giving towards God’s mission in Cincinnati! Momentum happens when God moves in response to the prayers of His people!

Please keep praying bold prayers.

Let’s Win Cincinnati!
