Missions, Together
Southern Baptists are a missions people. The basic reason churches united into a convention was the common interest in missions, and the desire to cooperate in mission endeavors. Inherent in Southern Baptist life today is the supporting of missionaries and mission works around the globe. As each church gives to missions work, we are able together to support missionaries that we could never support on our own.
This is the season that we focus on mission work in North America. Baptist churches will be receiving an offering, all of which goes directly to missions work. The primary focus of the North American Mission Board is church planting in some strategic cities across the continent. Basically this is the strategy Paul used, travelling to strategic cities in his world, leading folks to Christ in each city, discipling them and organizing them into churches, and challenging them to do the same in their local area.
Let us pray and give so that others can go on mission to reach others with the gospel.
