Fathers

Dads have the distinct honor of wearing a title that belongs to God Himself—Father. Of all the ways God reveals Himself and relates to humans, “Father” describes His most intimate desire for us.

Earthly dads get to be a living “picture” of that relationship and model for us that relationship that Father God desires. A child’s earliest understandings of God as Father come from observing his/her own father.

On Father’s Day we celebrate the examples set by our dads and we also celebrate the dads who have set them. May we develop an ever-deepening connection with our Heavenly Father.
