November Opportunities

November is certainly a month full of meaningful opportunities for the church here at First Baptist.  On our first Sunday, TeamKid groups sang, we dedicated families, and we baptized in this place.  This coming Sunday we will have a brief quarterly conference at the conclusion of the AM service.   Trey James will be nominated to serve as a deacon and if affirmed we will host an ordination council for him at 5:00 PM at Hubbard Park.  Following the council we will hold an ordination service in this place at 6:00 PM.  Everyone needs to make plans to come and support this young man as he begins his new venture in ministry.

The following Sunday, November 21 we will renew our yearly tradition of Soup and Cornbread.  We have invited the GAMA churches to join us at 5:00 PM in the sanctuary for a brief service, before moving to the fellowship hall for soup.  So bring a crock pot or two of soup and let’s enjoy some time around the table as we celebrate Thanksgiving.

On the final Sunday of November we will vote on the proposed budget for 2022 following the AM service.  Copies of the proposed budget will be available this Sunday.  Let’s make November about being with others and appreciating the many ways we are blessed by Father God.
