Let His Peace Rule
In Colossians 3:15, we read, “And let the peace of Christ, to which you were also called in one body, rule your hearts. And be thankful.”
What does it mean to rule? As a noun, it would be defined this way: control or dominion over an area or people.”
However, as a verb, it would be defined this way: exercise ultimate power or authority over.
When Paul says in Colossians to let the peace of Christ rule your hearts, another way of saying this may be, “Let the peace of Christ exercise ultimate power or authority over your hearts.”
How willing are you to let the peace of Christ exercise complete authority over your life? This would mean giving up worry so that peace can rule. This would mean giving up fear so that peace can rule.
The question I keep finding myself asking this week is, “What authority does the peace of Christ have in my life?” Join us Sunday morning as we explore this question in deeper study!
In Christ,
