Phillip has been the Worship and Senior Adults Pastor at GFBC since December 2023, and is a native of Monroe, Georgia. He holds a B.A. degree in Communications and Theatre degree from Shorter University in Rome, GA; and a B.M. degree in Voice Performance and Conducting from Clayton University in Morrow, GA. He was called into full time ministry in 1991 and has served in five churches in Georgia, Arizona, North Carolina, and now back in his beloved home state. Phillip’s wife, Carole, is a wonderful special education teacher, wife, mother and best friend. They are empty nesters and have two grown children, Jaren and Lydia. Phillip oversees all the music and worship ministries at GFBC including all worship services, choirs, praise teams, technical crews, and drama; as well as Senior Adult ministry. He loves movies, and to swim, hike, and travel. Phillip has been to most of the U.S. States, including Alaska, New York, Michigan, and California; as well as Jamaica, Russia, Moldova, Romania, Thailand, Israel and Panama on short-term mission trips. He believes that every worship service should be “a rehearsal for Heaven!”
